The Impact of Chemicals on the Environment.
The impact of chemicals on the environment is based on the following principles:
1. Fundamentals of general ecology, which underlie the problems arising from anthropogenic impacts.
2. Chemical processes of the main polluting components occurring in the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere.
3. Comprehensive analysis of pollution in various environments and monitoring issues.
4. Rules for constructing a closed-loop system.
5. Air pollution and the main problems associated with this pollution, pollution of water bodies with radioactive and organic pollutants (pesticides, plastics, oil refineries, etc.).
6. Energy issues related to the search for new fuels. Chemistry and analytical chemistry of human behavior and biochemical transformations in human bodies.
Environmental chemistry is a new branch of chemistry that studies the impact of waste and industrial products released into the air and water. Humans are the main natural polluters of the planet. For a long time, ecological development was harmonious. The developmental process of an organism meets all the requirements that also correspond to ongoing chemical processes. In the 18th century, human influence on the normal process of ecological development was imperceptible. Today, disruptions to harmonious development are caused by the release of waste from chemical and other industrial plants into water and air under human influence. As a result of photochemical processes in the atmosphere, pollutants are processed and neutralized, and the balance is restored. Since the early 20th century, the enormous amount of harmful substances emitted by humans into the atmosphere has disrupted the balance of the natural restoration process. Residents of large cities are increasingly faced with air pollution. In areas with heavy traffic, carbon monoxide accumulates in large quantities, leading to poisoning. The main problems of environmental pollution should be considered from a chemical perspective. Along with air pollution, water pollution is also a major environmental problem.
