The President of Turkmenistan arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit.
Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan on a state visit.
The head of state was seen off by country officials at Ashgabat International Airport, TDH reports.
As noted, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was warmly welcomed by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Tashkent airport.
The friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan are a vivid example of good neighborliness and strategic cooperation in Central Asia. The two fraternal peoples, connected by centuries-old history, culture, language, and common spiritual values, are currently becoming even closer.
As previously reported , the President of Turkmenistan will hold high-level meetings as part of his state visit, as well as participate in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The agenda of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia to be held in Tashkent will include a wide range of issues of interstate cooperation, including further strengthening of effective relations in the region and exchange of views on important regional and international issues. In addition, a number of accompanying events aimed at enhancing regional cooperation will be organized within the framework of the summit.
As is known, diplomatic relations with Uzbekistan were established in February 1993. Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, developing good neighborliness and friendly dialogue, effectively cooperate in the political, diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. A reliable contractual legal framework for bilateral cooperation has been established.
