The IV Open International Internet Ecology Olympiad among students was held

The IV Open International Internet Ecology Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the country and abroad was held at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S. Niyazov. More than 500 students from more than 100 higher educational institutions from 33 countries participated in it.

The international competition featured works on the ecology of populations and the biosphere, human ecology and modern ecological issues, industrial ecology, ecological monitoring, environmental legislation, and international organizations. This was reported in the Turkmenistan newspaper .

The work of the students who participated in the Olympiad was evaluated using special software and the results were summed up based on the total points. Accordingly, the 20 students who achieved the highest results were awarded first place. 15 of them are students from our country, 3 from Russia, and the rest are students from higher educational institutions in Kazakhstan and Belarus. At the same time, Sakhet Saryev, a student of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Maksatgeldy Bayatgurbanov, a student of the Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense, Nargul Seyitliyeva, a student of the Dovletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and Merdan Rejepdurdyyev, a student of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took the top places in the list of winners with the highest results.

Of the 39 students who won second place, 18 are young people studying in Turkmenistan. Also, 59 of the participants in the competition were awarded third place. 35 of them are students of higher educational institutions of the country.

In addition, the aforementioned university hosted a scientific project competition entitled "Scientific youth are the future of our country" with the participation of about 70 students from higher education institutions of the country. The competition evaluated the scientific inventions of young people related to the agro-food industry and new production lines.

The main prize of the competition was won by Medet Materov, a student of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after SA Niyazov, with his scientific project “Medicinal product prepared from nasturtium and marigold plants”. Merjen Kurenova, a student of the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan, won the project “Preparation of an innovative cleaning agent for greenhouses and plants”, and Maral Gullyeva, a student of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, won the first place in the competition with her scientific project “Recovering dyestuffs from sulfur from the Galkynysh gas field and eliminating the harmful ecological effects of sulfur”.
