The National Leader of the Turkmen people met with the head of Daewoo Company

Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow met with Jong Won-ju, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., who is visiting the country. This was reported by the "Watan" news program.

As noted, during the meeting, the guest noted the continuous development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Turkmenistan, to which Gahryman Arkadag has made a great contribution. The businessman noted that today the chemical industry of Turkmenistan is a vivid example of innovative development, and confirmed the readiness of the company he leads to contribute to this work.

The Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan warmly welcomed the guest and thanked former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, former Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-pyo, and former Chairman of the Korean-Turkmen Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Lee Dal-gon for their contributions to strengthening relations between the two countries, and asked them to convey their warm greetings and best wishes.

Gahryman Arkadag noted that Turkmenistan is implementing economic development programs and industrial reforms, and emphasized that ecologically oriented "green" projects are given great importance in this regard. The Chairman of the People's Council said that the possibilities of producing "green" methanol from cotton waste are currently being studied.

During the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that, given the favorable conditions for business in Turkmenistan, there are opportunities to develop bilateral cooperation in new areas. In this regard, effective cooperation has been established between the Turkmenhimiya State Concern and Daewoo Company.

The Chairman of the People's Council said that in Turkmenistan, special importance is attached to compliance with ecological standards, the introduction of the latest scientific and technological achievements, and the high-quality and timely implementation of projects in the construction of new facilities.

The businessman expressed gratitude for the favorable conditions created for efficient work in Turkmenistan and noted that the company he leads will continue to take a responsible approach to successfully fulfilling its contractual obligations.
