Avaza State Power Station produces over 870 million kilowatt hours of electricity
The Avaza State Power Station, located in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in the city of Turkmenbashi, Balkan Province, has been providing uninterrupted electricity to not only the Balkan Province, but also other regions of the country, for several years now. This was reported in the Turkmenistan newspaper .
Turkmenbashi energy workers worked most effectively in the last reporting period of 2025. Since the beginning of this year, they have produced 870 million 506 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity.
This indicator is 20 million 506 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity more than the plan envisaged. It is equal to 102 percent of the plan. Thus, the growth rate of the enterprise's electricity production increased to 110 percent.
The station was officially put into operation in 2010. It is equipped with two gas turbines with a total capacity of 254.2 megawatts. It is especially important that they can operate on diesel fuel if necessary. This ensures the efficient operation of the station.
In addition to the gas turbine power plant, 15 small power plants operate at the Avaza State Power Station. The plants are equipped with technologies and electrical equipment that meet world standards.
