Nearly 30 percent of Turkish exports go to the markets of 5 countries
Last August, Turkey exported goods and services worth $21.729 billion, while imports amounted to $25.940 billion, the AzerTaj portal reported, citing the country's Ministry of Trade and the Institute of Statistics . Turkey's leading trading partner is Germany. In January-August, Turkish exports to the German market amounted to 14 billion 651 million dollars. The top five also included Great Britain, the United States, Italy and Iraq. These countries accounted for 29.6 percent of all Turkish exports. China topped the list of Turkey's largest importers, with goods worth 32 billion 49 million dollars imported. This was followed by Russia (over 28.5 billion dollars), Germany, the United States and Italy. These countries accounted for 43.2 percent of Turkish imports.
