Turkey's leading trading partner is Germany. In January-August, Turkish exports to the German market amounted to 14 billion 651 million dollars. The top five also included Great Britain, the United States, Italy and Iraq. These countries accounted for 29.6 percent of all Turkish exports. China topped the list of Turkey's largest importers, with goods worth 32 billion 49 million dollars imported. This was followed by Russia (over 28.5 billion dollars), Germany, the United States and Italy. These countries accounted for 43.2 percent of Turkish imports.
