The President of Turkmenistan will visit Uzbekistan to participate in the summit of the heads of state of Central Asia

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan and participate in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, scheduled for November 15-16. This was announced by Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov during a government meeting, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

As noted, the agenda for the upcoming meeting in Tashkent will cover a wide range of interstate partnership areas, including further strengthening constructive interaction in the region and exchanging views on pressing regional and international issues. Furthermore, the summit will include a number of side events aimed at enhancing regional cooperation.

In addition to high-level talks, the visit's program includes the opening of a new Turkmen-Uzbek border trade center.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will play an important role in strengthening multilateral cooperation and further expanding friendly and fraternal relations. "The Republic of Uzbekistan is also one of our closest neighbors. Cooperation between our countries is steadily developing," the head of state said.
