At the government session, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakiyev reported on the work being carried out to consistently strengthen the material and technical basis of the national maritime and river transport sector.

As noted, within the framework of this work, significant importance is attached to the repair of vessels and the improvement of their material and technical base. In this regard, the implementation of the relevant project will significantly contribute to the development of the national sea and river transport system, the modernization of shipbuilding and repair work, and the growth of the country's industrial potential, taking into account the development of new industrial facilities, the provision of local industry with modern equipment. In this regard, the Vice-Premier presented proposals for consideration by the Head of State.

Commenting on the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the country is actively working to develop its national maritime and river transport sector.

The head of state approved a proposal aimed at strengthening the material and technical base of the Deryayollary Open Joint Stock Company and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to carry out the relevant work. TDH reports.
