"Turkmenistan Airlines" OJSC has launched regular domestic flights through the new Balkanabat International Airport. As of May 19, 2025, the air harbor began serving passengers from all regions of the country. This was reported by the official website of Turkmen Airlines.

The airline is temporarily suspending all flights to Turkmenbashi. This suspension affects the routes Ashgabat – Turkmenbashi – Ashgabat, Turkmenabat – Turkmenbashi – Turkmenabat, Mary – Turkmenbashi – Mary, and Dashoguz – Turkmenbashi – Dashoguz.

Instead, "Turkmenistan Airlines" OJSC has launched alternative flights with a similar route structure, replacing Turkmenbashi with Balkanabat. Passengers can now use the following routes: Ashgabat – Balkanabat – Ashgabat, Turkmenabat – Balkanabat – Turkmenabat, Mary – Balkanabat – Mary, and Dashoguz – Balkanabat – Dashoguz.

The first passengers to use the new airport's services are actively sharing positive feedback on social media, highlighting the modern infrastructure, comfortable conditions, and high level of service in the new terminal.
