Turkmenistan and Italy to cooperate in communications, cybersecurity and energy
As part of his official visit to the Republic of Italy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow also participated in the Turkmen-Italian Business Forum.
The forum, which then continued with thematic sections, paid special attention to such important strategic sectors as energy and transport. The forum participants stressed the importance of developing cooperation in the oil and gas sector. They also expressed readiness to implement joint projects aimed at developing transport and infrastructure.
Following the results of the forum, a ceremony to sign documents was held between representatives of Turkmenistan and the Italian Republic.
The signed documents include a Non-Disclosure Agreement between the State Cybersecurity Service under the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and Leonardo-Societa per azioni; a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and Leonardo-Societa per azioni; and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and the Italian company Pietro Fiorentini SpA.
An exhibition of products made in Turkmenistan was also organized within the framework of the forum, TDH reports.
