A regional training workshop with the International Maritime Organization will be held in Turkmenbashi
At a cabinet meeting held today via digital system, Vice Prime Minister M. Chakiyev reported on the work being done to train international-class specialists for the maritime and river transport sector in Turkmenistan. This was reported on the "Watan" news program.
As noted in the report, Turkmenistan is carrying out necessary work to ensure the highest level of compliance with the requirements of the relevant international conventions of the International Maritime Organization and to improve the professional level of seafarers in this area. In this regard, the Vice Prime Minister submitted a proposal for consideration by the President.
Commenting on the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that effective work is being carried out to improve the country's merchant marine fleet and train high-level specialists in this field.
The Head of State approved the proposal to hold a regional training seminar in the city of Turkmenbashi, Balkan province, jointly with the International Maritime Organization and the International Hydrographic Organization, and instructed the Vice Prime Minister to carry out the relevant work.
