Harvest Festival, which is a testimony of the hard work of Turkmen farmers, was celebrated in the country.
On Saturday last week, the country celebrated the Harvest Festival. This holiday sums up the agricultural year, the hard work of farmers, symbolizes the fertility of the Turkmen soil and the abundance of our crops. It reflects the spiritual values and traditions of the Turkmen people, the consolidation, hard work and well-being of our citizens. Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, there was a ceremony to award renters, mechanics, scientists-agronomists, voters who made a great contribution to the development of the country's agro-industrial complex. According to the Decree of the Honorable President, the leaders of the agricultural industry, who achieved the highest results this year, were awarded the medal "For Love of the Motherland" and valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. This year, which is being held under the slogan "Friendship of the People", was focused on the great achievements of rural workers. A bountiful harvest of cotton was harvested in the country. Turkmen grain growers have successfully fulfilled the government's mandate to collect the food wheat crop and won a great labor victory. They handed over 1 million 500 thousand tons of wheat to Watan Harman. A bountiful harvest of blueberries, fruits, and garden produce was also harvested. Before the harvest festival, the cotton growers of Balkan Velayat successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations to collect "white gold", and the farmers of Dashoguz Velayat successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations to harvest rice. Since the beginning of the year, the growth rate of production in the agro-industrial complex was 103.8 percent, compared to the corresponding period of last year. The plan for the production of vegetables was fulfilled by 118 percent, for garden crops by 110.1 percent, and the plan for bread and bakery products by 105.3 percent.
