President of Turkmenistan Discusses Prospects of Bilateral Cooperation with US Senator
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with a member of the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, Senator from Montana Steve Daines. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in various areas, including political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian areas, TDH reports.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that relations between Turkmenistan and the United States are based on the principles of mutual respect and trust. In recent years, the political dialogue between the two countries has become more active, which allows for an effective exchange of views on global issues, such as sustainable development, security and climate change.
The trade and economic sphere, which is one of the key areas of interaction, was also discussed. Turkmenistan successfully cooperates with the largest American companies implementing significant projects in the country. The President emphasized the importance of diversifying energy export routes and developing partnerships taking into account the interests of all parties.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed mutual wishes for success and further development of cooperation.
