M.Chakiyev met with the Deputy Minister of Communications of Iran
A meeting was held between M.Chakiyev, CEO of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, and Behzad Akbari, the Deputy Minister of Communications of Iran, who was visiting Ashgabat, and the director of the Infrastructure Communications Company. The head of "Turkmenatragsat" Agency H. Khudhugulyev also took part in it.
According to Iranian media, the meeting discussed progress in the development of digital infrastructure in Iran, opportunities for cooperation, including the expansion of transportation between Turkmenistan and Iran.
It was noted that both countries can play an important role in the development of digital infrastructure in the region due to their favorable geographical location. The parties agreed to work together on these issues.
Behzad Akbari, on behalf of the Minister of Communications of Iran, Seyedastar Hashemi, invited the leaders of the telecommunications industry of Turkmenistan to participate in the International Telecommunications Exhibition, which will be held in Tehran on January 3-6, 2025.
