The management of the state concern «Turkmennnebit» and «Dragon Oil» discussed the prospects for cooperation

The management of the of the state concern «Turkmennnebit» held a meeting with Director General of «Dragon Oil» (UAE) Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, who is on a business visit in turkmenistan. At the meeting, prospects for the development of long-term partnership and ambitious plans to improve the energy complex of Turkmenistan were discussed. The country’s desire to diversify and actively implement advanced technologies in accordance with environmental standards was also discussed, the electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.

Turkmenistan, possessing significant reserves of energy resources, aims to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with the world's leading companies, including «Dragon Oil». During the meeting strategies for increasing the production and export of oil and gas, increasing the export of Turkmen energy resources and finished petrochemical products, which is the main goal of the country’s energy policy, were discussed.

During the meeting, they also emphasized the importance of the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which took place in Dubai in early December last year, as well as the importance of Turkmenistan's accession to its obligations. As well as the significance of the working visit of Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the United Arab Emirates.

Then as a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the state concern «Turkmennnebit» and the company «Dragon Oil» (Turkmenistan) Ltd., which is an important step towards further cooperation in the oil and gas industry. Both sides expressed confidence in the productive development of cooperation in the future.

The winners of the “AI Solutions” student hackathon have been announced in Turkmenistan

The Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan summarized the results of the national student hackathon "AI Solutions" and announced the winners. The competition took place on February 21 at the "Sanly Çözgüt - IT meýdança" business association, which operates under the Institute. Sixteen student teams participated—one from each university, according to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age." The first place was won by teams from the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas. The second place was won by teams from the International University for Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. Third place was awarded to teams from the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan. The winners received diplomas and commemorative gifts from the host university. Six teams from several other universities across the country received incentive prizes. Hackathon participants competed in developing IT products using artificial intelligence, specifically testing systems capable of generating questions based on user categories and evaluating results based on the answers received. The effectiveness and performance of the participants' innovative solutions were assessed by a panel of experts, including university professors of IT disciplines and invited experts in the field.
