The President of Turkmenistan was awarded the Order of the Golden Eagle
Following the conclusion of high-level Turkmen-Kazakh talks in Astana, a ceremony was held to award President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the highest state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Order of the Golden Eagle ("Altyn Kyran"). This was reported in the electronic edition of the Turkmenistan newspaper.
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, presented this high award to the head of state, noting the personal contribution of the Honorable President to strengthening the traditional Turkmen-Kazakh relations of friendship and good neighborliness, as well as strategic cooperation. In accordance with the Decree signed by the Kazakh Leader, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded this prestigious award for his contribution to strengthening the strong relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, to the comprehensive development of interstate relations, and to the further rapprochement and unity of the fraternal peoples.
During the ceremony, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for this prestigious award, saying that he accepts it as a sign of great respect for the people of Turkmenistan and evidence of the strong friendship and good neighborliness that have united the two peoples for many centuries.
The Order of the Golden Eagle is the highest decoration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Established in 1995, this prestigious award is awarded to citizens who have rendered special services to Kazakhstan, as well as outstanding state, public and political figures of our time. It should be noted that on June 29, 2022, the National Leader of the Turkmen people was also awarded the Order of the Golden Eagle by the Kazakh Leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who visited Turkmenistan to participate in the Sixth Caspian Summit.
