Turkmenistan strengthens cooperation with the International Road Transport Union
A working meeting was recently held between the Deputy Head of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and a delegation led by Vakhtang Zarandiya, Senior Advisor for TIR and Transit Transport of the International Road Transport Union (IRU). According to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan , during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of international cargo transportation under TIR guarantee. In particular, they discussed the issue of signing a Roadmap for cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the International Road Transport Union, aimed at further developing and simplifying transport and customs procedures, as well as improving the mechanism for providing TIR guarantees. The meeting also included an exchange of experiences and discussions on practical solutions, such as modernizing TIR operations and introducing modern information systems to reduce risk.
