Over 600 delegates from 40 countries will gather in Ashgabat on 26-27 November 2024 to participate in the 3rd International Conference and Exhibition “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Connectivity and Development 2024” (ITTC-2024). Participants will include representatives of international and national companies, global organizations and government agencies.

The ITTC-2024 conference is one of the key events of the World Sustainable Transport Day held in Turkmenistan. The event is organized by the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan in partnership with the Public Association “Belli”.

The main topics of the forum include the growing role of women in the transport sector, the introduction of sustainable practices in transport infrastructure, the impact of digitalization on logistics, as well as education and training for the transport sector. Particular attention will be paid to strategies to support landlocked Central Asian countries in expanding their access to global markets.

Turkmenistan has significantly strengthened its role as a key player in international transit corridors in recent years. The country has built new railway lines, modernized road, maritime and aviation infrastructure, which contributes to the economic integration of the region. Turkmenistan is also actively involved in projects such as the North-South Corridor and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and cooperates with China within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

ITTC-2024 will provide a unique opportunity to discuss prospects for cooperation and investment in transport infrastructure, as well as exchange experiences in the implementation of large infrastructure projects.
