Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed strengthening cooperation
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Astana, held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
As reported by TDH, during the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of interstate cooperation based on the principles of trust, equality and mutual consideration of national interests.
During a confidential and constructive conversation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements and exchanged views on key issues of partnership developing in various formats, including international and regional organizations.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Kazakhstan noted the high level of development of Turkmen-Kazakh relations achieved through joint efforts and expressed their intention to continue strengthening cooperation in the interests of both peoples.
Particular attention was paid to promising areas of cooperation, such as trade, oil and gas, agriculture and energy. Despite the difficult international situation, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan continue to successfully interact on the basis of equality, respect and mutual support.
