President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan! The message from the head of state says:

Dear compatriots!

I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Constitution and State Flag of Turkmenistan! This significant date personifies the unity and integrity of the nation, reflects its idea of a democratic, legal and secular state, a fair civil society. I am convinced that in this year, full of celebrations, “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi”, the festive events will evoke a feeling of great pride among the people of Turkmenistan, who are following the path of progress in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state with great faith in a bright future!

The Constitution of independent neutral Turkmenistan is a document that defines the foundations of the social and state system, the traditional sacred concepts of the Motherland, people and state, the principles of neutrality, the status of which is delegated by the world community at the level of the United Nations. The Constitution is a reliable support for our achievements, prosperity and sovereignty. Man is the highest value of society and the state, says the constitutional principle, which is the basis of our policy and motto “The state is for man!” and “The Motherland is the Motherland only with the people! The state is a state only with the people!” At the same time, this principle is the source of our strength in promoting an independent Fatherland along the path of progress and prosperity, indestructible unity and cohesion.

The Basic Law, generally recognized norms of international law in the field of human rights and freedoms, the principles of democracy, peace, friendship, justice and humanism, centuries-old experience in building national statehood, unshakable love for the Motherland, unity and selfless work serve us as support and guidance in establishing independence and neutrality, development of the country and improving the well-being of Turkmen people.

The foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan to maintain global peace, security and stability is also determined by the norms of the Constitution of our state. At the meeting of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Resolution “2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust” was adopted. This event fully demonstrated the colossal potential of international endeavors and the positive neutrality of our country, enshrined in the Constitution, in strengthening peace and friendship on the planet, and also increased the authority and glory of the sovereign Fatherland and happy Turkmen people on the world stage.

Dear friends!

The National Flag is an invaluable asset that personifies our independence and neutrality, our great past, happy present and bright future, our honor and dignity. The Green Banner, on the cloth of which ancient carpet patterns are placed, a crescent moon with five stars and olive branches as a symbol of the legal status of neutrality recognized by the UN General Assembly, glorifies our Motherland and valiant people in the world.

In the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, our sacred Flag flies in the heights as a reflection of our unity and love of peace, our commitment to the age-old traditions of friendship and good neighborliness. This symbol of our statehood calls on the peoples of the planet to friendship and brotherhood, cooperation based on good will and, expressing the principles of humanism, peacemaking and sovereignty, unites our native people on the path to great goals.

Dear compatriots!

The sacred symbols of statehood - the Basic Law and the green Banner - form the unshakable basis of a perfect legal system for the implementation of the grandiose goals of the new era. Therefore, to commemorate the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan, scientific and practical conferences, music and song events will be held. Content-rich festive celebrations will take place at the Constitution Monument and at the reconstructed Main Flagpole of Ashgabat, in the squares with the main flagpoles of the city of Arkadag, the administrative centers of the regions and the Avaza National Tourist Zone. All these events reflect our immense love for the Motherland and cohesion, our successes and unity, inspire each of us to great achievements and accomplishments in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state.
