Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov named his new-born foal Magtymguly as Shahyr on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly
As we reported earlier, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to Arkadag.
During his visit, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan visited the place where the national holiday of the Turkmen horse and the international beauty contest of the Akhalteke horses will be held. There, the Rector of the International Equestrian Academy named after Aba Annayev, P. Bayramdurdyev, reported on the work being carried out at the academy, the conditions created for students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practice, and how young people master the national principles of the equestrian system.
B. Rejepov, the head of the International Ahalteke Equestrian Association, reported on the activities carried out in the association's structures and the large-scale preparation for the national holiday of the Turkmen horse. He also informed that many foals of Akhalteke horses were born this year, and their number has increased.
The Chairman of the People's Council looked at the newborn foal and named it Shahyr and put a flag on the foal's neck in connection with the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy this year.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people said that the education provided by the teachers of the academy to the students should be established in a modern way, and the issues related to the professional development of the teachers should be given importance. It was also noted that all opportunities should be created for professors of the academy to scientifically study and develop national horse breeding traditions.
- Academy students should spend their free time among horses. Necessary efforts should be made in order for them to deeply master the national horse breeding traditions and carry out the modern experience in harmony --- said the Chairman of the People's Council and gave several instructions regarding the fulfillment of the tasks set before him.
